Birthday Server - What's New
s5 is a T4.2 server with some additional special features to commemorate Travian's 9th birthday. The key features of the changes are summarised below (thank you Nightlock.), with further details in later posts:
New daily tasks
Tasks will now be available every single day of the server. Points will be awarded for each task completed and these points can be turned into prizes. Prizes will range from culture points to free gold features with resources and hero items also up for grabs.
Beginners protection (BP)
BP will now last until you reach 200 population OR found your second village (whichever happens first).
During BP you will not be able to send troops to another player as an attack, raid OR reinforcement.
While under BP you will not be able to receive troops from another player in any form.
Various game play changes
Resource production of villages has now doubled. This will affect wheat, wood, iron and clay.
Cranny capacity has now doubled. For this server crannies will hide 2000 of each resource (4000 for Gauls).
Troops will now consume double wheat. The hero is not affected by this change.
Each player will only be able to use one bucket in any 24 hour period.
Changes to map - Villages of different sizes and tribes are distinguished. Images for wilderness, lakes and mountains have changed.
Culture points
Each player will now start the game with 500 culture points.
Each player will receive 50 free gold upon settling their second village. This can only be claimed once
Celebrations
Culture points will be added instantly. After a celebration, there is a cool-down which equals the time duration a celebration had before.
A small celebration will grant the culture points of the village where the Town Hall is located up to a maximum of 500.
A large celebration grants the account-production of culture points up to 2000.
Artworks
Removed from the loot table for the first two weeks of the server so they cannot be used to settle second villages rapidly.
Maximum CP gained using an artwork reduced from 5000 to 2000.
Artifacts and WW
Trade routes
Trade routes can now be set up to any WW village owned by a member of your alliance or an alliance which holds a confederacy with your alliance.
Trade routes can now be set up to any artifact village owned by a member of your alliance or an alliance which holds a confederacy with your alliance.
WW villages and artifact villages will be exempt from pushing limits.
WW
8 out of the 13 WW villages get new spawning spots, outside of the grey area.
Levels of Natar defence will vary in each WW.
Half wheat is returning to WW. All troops in a WW village will now consume 50% of their normal upkeep. This change will not be activated until construction plans are released, any troops in WW villages before that point will consume their full upkeep.
Natar WW
Natars will begin to build their WW on day X, a set amount of days after the server starts (Day X is currently unspecified). Once Natars reach level 75 there are only 25 days left until they complete their WW.
Once the Natar WW reaches level 75 all Natar troops will be called to their WW. This means once the Natars reach level 75 their attacks on enemy WWs will no longer be launched.
