Default Trappers, Population And Maths >.<

    Hello!
Right, I need to know how you work out the maximum number of traps someone can have by their population. I've done it before, but that was ages ago and I've since completely forgot how its done >.<

    Any help is appreciated =D

    Thanks for that =D
Right, if this guy has 208 population, how many traps would you say he has?
( And how would you work that out?)

    Half his population

I Dont understand though... Why would you just half his population?
( It's probably something epicly simple, and Im just a tard.)

Just see how much population 204 would give in levels of a trapper (I think it can be all 20) If it is all 20, well I wouldn't raid them unless you have 500 troops.
    That's what I call a hammer !

It's pretty much a well educated guess.

How many would I have at that stage, off course i'd also check out how long the account has been going and factor that in too.

a level 20 trapper is 62 population, so theres no way in hell he'd put that much effort into traps

Okay thanks everyone. If level 20 is 62 pop, I can safely say i doubt ill have enough troops to fill his traps.

Even if he put all his rescources into traps, he'd still probably have a fair amount.

    Thanks guys =]

Remember, alot of Gauls only get the trapper for its population and completely forget about the wondeful traps they have.

They are the gauls i like

    1) You release them and your traps get rebuilt for free (you might even get the attacker to pay for this - but its unlikely).
    2) The attacker comes and attacks you with more troops and gets them back. half the traps are destroyed.
    3) The attacker gives up on them and dismisses them. No idea how many traps are destroyed here.
    4) You both leave them there and they eat the attacker's wheat.

Theoretically Jack, you are correct BUT

    level 1 is 4 population traps 10
level 2 is 2 more total traps 22 total pop 6
level 3 is 2 more total traps 35 total pop 8
level 4 is 2 more total traps 49 total pop 10
level 5 is 2 more total traps 64 total pop 12
level 6 is 3 more total traps 80 total pop 15
level 7 is 3 more total traps 97 total pop 18
level 8 is 3 more total traps 115 total pop 21
level 9 is 3 more total traps 134 total pop 24
level 10 is 3 more total traps 154 total pop 27
level 11 is 3 more total traps 175 total pop 30
level 12 is 3 more total traps 196 total pop 33
level 13 is 3 more total traps 218 total pop 36
level 14 is 3 more total traps 241 total pop 40
level 15 is 3 more total traps 265 total pop 43
level 16 is 4 more total traps 290 total pop 47
level 17 is 4 more total traps 316 total pop 52
level 18 is 4 more total traps 343 total pop 56
level 19 is 4 more total traps 371 total pop 60
level 20 is 4 more total traps 400 total pop 64

    **RESOURCES **---------wood pop---clay pop---iron pop---crop pop
    level 1 produces 5------------2-------------2------------3----------0
    level 2 produces 9------------1-------------1------------2----------0
    level 3 produces 15-----------1-------------1------------2----------0
    level 4 produces 22-----------1-------------1------------2----------0
    level 5 produces 33-----------1 -------------1------------2---------0
    TOTAL POPULATION-----------6-------------6-----------11---------0-----------23

    resources needed for L5
    crops--------------------------1250--------1610-------1250------360
    clay---------------------------1435----------710-------1435------900
    iron----------------------------1790--------1435--------540-----1070
    wood----------------------------710--------1790--------900-----1070

To build the trapper to level 20 takes 49420 of each resource and at MB level 0 would take 320 hours 30 min on top of the length of time to produce 49420 of each resource at no more than level 5, a maximum of 33 per hour, which comes to 1498 hours so you're talking about someone taking 1820 hours to build up his trapper. Then you've got to figure in the cost of the traps themselves and how long it would take to build them. Add another (estimated) 500 hours for the res and building. this gives a figure of over 2300 hours to develop your trapper to maximum in the absence of anything else. Or in other words, about 3 months.
To cut this time down even by half would require 34600 wood, 19770 clay, 29655 iron and 9890 crop and increase population by 41 to increase MB to level 20. Still level 5 crop is sufficient to cover this. But see above - resources needed
This is giving a total of over 85000 wood, 69000 clay, 80000 iron and 59000 crop. I suppose the fastest way would be to increase your res production to level 5 first, which is also slow because it's so low, but I can't see that even the 'fastest' rate of building traps would take less time than the 'slowest'.
I don't think you need to worry about the number of traps somehow. No-one in his right mind would consider it.

Figures taken from the Travian FAQ.

    Incorrect...

once your over level 9 you need more warehouse and granary space which you seem to have failed to account for...

Lol, I was thinking that. When attacking gauls, I think there's an easy way. Send over 400 troops, don't attack or, if you are more than 2 months in, any decent gaul won't have any and any non decent one will have quit
    That's what I call a hammer !

Its easy to attack gauls. The problem is that while you are sending 500 mace at a gaul, you arent sending 100 *5 at a load of other villages
