    Levitation.

(came out from one of my arguments with the "money man" boss who knows nothing about building, complaining about how much steel we have to hold up the floors to which I answered "They havn't invented levitating floors yet" )
"Some of the biggest challenges in relationships come from the fact that most people enter a relationship in order to get something. They're trying to find someone who's going to make them feel good. In reality, the only way a relationship will last is if you see your relationship as a place that you go to give, and not a place that you go to take."

Thank you.... you have helped our vocabulary SOOOO much... NOT!

I've always been a fan of flabbergasted

Seems like a nonsense word, but merely means amazed or shocked or summat thereabouts.

the word 'OK' which i didn't know until today is an abbreviation of oll korrect (mispelling of all correct), or from the native american tribe Choctaw who used the word okeh meaning 'it is so'.

    LIES AVI! LIES!

The phrase "OK" is actually an abbreviation of the greek phrase "ola kala" - it literally means "everything is good"

In other news, my favourite word is "autohagiography"
to commit autohagiography is to adore yourself

Really that sounds like a good etymology too, but none of the websites I visited mentioned it.

Repugnant meaning very distasteful, revolting, repellent etc.
