    Default That wasn't 10'clock

When they say the server is going down at 10 o'clock pm why is it they seem to have shut it down at 21:35? . . . I got back thinking I'd have just enough time to spend my resources as I wont get time in the morning - and before I get chance it all freezes . A quick check on skype confirms the server has gone down early . . Cant they tell the time ??

To be fair they did say 'around 10pm', much like the new fixes will be 'around the middle of August'.

It sucks but vague is the new policy according to blah blah blah

I reckon the admins have just shut the servers down so that they can have the night off.

You'll see Chrisvc on the news tomorrow, running from the police with a new LCD television under his arm.

Yeh, people in Scotland tend to not destroy their towns, so I don't think that's gonna happen. Besides, I'm not in the UK currently anyway

I know that the above comment by Oh Hai, was a joke but it's in pretty poor taste and could be misconstrued as offensive and libellous as well as quite hurtful to people who were looted or mugged or had there homes lost because of these riots. Near the areas I live (and many others of course) there have been problems and I don't think we should be making jokes about it at the time being (or ever to be honest).

I doubt its Travian staff carrying out the repairs (its probably not even the travian servers which are broken) so they have most likely been told around 10pm by the data centre staff and thats all they have to work on.

Other posts could be misconscrewed as over dramatic or OTT

You're probably right lodi. Just frustrating when things have prevented me from being online all day - yes i do have sitters but still nicer to check things yourself - and i log on thinking i still have 30 mins to get things right with my account - and within 3 mins the thing just freezes then comes up with an error message as the server goes down early. Around 10 surely means a couple of mins either side - now nearly half an hour. Whoever carried out the repairs should know people invest a lot of time into this game - and if they quote a time - they should really try to stick to it

IMO it's very poor. It would be nice to see an apology from Travian, but I doubt we'll get it. It's largely irrelevant who manages the servers - Travian is the provider of the game, they should be managing either their own staff or the companies they contract out to properly.

Default One of the many things *sigh*

We passed 5am, which you guys promised it would be "lately" on 5am.

    This is sad and professional.
You have to know we put alot of time and money in this game...

If we can't make a joke about it, then what are we suppose to do sit in our homes terrifyed the moment 10 people walk past my house?

I think not, see this is the problem with the country, People over react to everything!

Correct me if im wrong - but didn't the whole riots start because people over-reacted to a police incident that went horribly wrong.

I know im going to be banned but I don't care.

Shooting a gun-toting drug-dealing scumbag gangster who terrorised his local manor is "horribly wrong" is it? A young girl was recently shot dead in a London takeaway by the likes of him.

If you carry a loaded weapon on the streets then you deserve all you get (whether you shoot first or not).

I don't object to your sense of humour but you shouldn't even be jokingly comparing someone identifiable on a public forum to the dregs of our society

I know we've deviated a little from the original subject matter of "That wasn't 10 o'clock"
